I am happy to say that the new web design for Ignite Coaching has now gone live. A lot of effort has been put into the website to provide users with a better experience than they had previously received. The site uses a bespoke template and is a responsive website so that it displays content appropriately on desktop, tablet and mobile without users having to zoom in to view text.
The site is database driven and can be fully updated by the site owners. It uses a flat design and care has been given to the way that a user will navigate around the site. In many ways the primary aim of the site is for users to contact Ignite by telephone and with this in mind the telephone number is displayed prominently at the top of the screen. When viewed on a smartphone the telephone is an active link so that users can dial the number without having to note it down.
There are certain areas of the site that Ignite are particularly interested in promoting to their users such as the retreats and workshops that they offer. With this in mind details of the latest workshop and retreat can be input in one place in the back office to the website and the information can then be pulled from the database and is displayed on every page on the front end of the site to ensure that these sections obtain maximum exposure to visitors.
The blog on the website will be a key area for marketing purposes. The aim is to use the blog as a means of driving traffic to the site. A new format for the images used within the blog has been adopted that are more colourful, more interesting and more social media friendly. The sizes of the images means that they display well on both Facebook and Twitter. This is very important as good quality images tend to create greater levels of engagement on social media.
Speaking of images, the carousel images have also been given a revamp. These now have a much cleaner look than before and most feature Adele Hartshorn with a key message about each service that is offered and a button with a call to action.
Text is laid out in a more appealing way with the font size altered slightly and headings used to break up large blocks of text.
Overall I am very happy with the new Ignite Coaching website, I think it is a vast improvement on the previous one. I will be monitoring the Google Analytics data very closely over the next few weeks to see if users feel the same way. Things I will be looking for are the average number of pages viewed per session, time spent on the site per session and the bounce rate.
